Memorial Hospital at Gulfport ranked best for ninth year

National Research Corporation has recognized Memorial Hospital at Gulfport as a 2015-16 Consumer Choice Award winner for the ninth consecutive year.

NRC honors hospitals whose healthcare consumers have rated as having the best quality and image nationally. Memorial was selected as having the highest quality, best image/reputation, best doctors and best nurses.

"Our physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff work together, each and every day, to meet the healthcare needs of the residents of the Gulf Coast," said Gary Marchand, hospital president/CEO.

Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings. From the households surveyed, hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on their Core Based Statistical Areas as defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with the winning facilities being ranked the highest.

NRC is recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the largest patient satisfaction firms in the U.S.
