South Mississippi's gas price among lowest in US

Mississippi has the third lowest average gas price in the nation Tuesday and South Mississippi's was even lower.

The AAA Fuel Gauge Report shows the average price of $1,88 in South Mississippi Tuesday was penny a gallon less than South Carolina, which had the best price in the nation at $1.89. Mississippi is one of nine states in the country where gas is below $2.00.

Drivers in South Mississippi are paying an average of .94 cents a gallon less than this time a year ago.
