The Tesla Model Y has undeniably become a familiar face on American roads. With practicality and a solid range up its sleeves, it's no wonder it's been a sales superstar for Tesla.
For 2026, Tesla retains the Model Y's sharp looks, nicer cabin materials inside, and more tech, thanks to the Juniper era. Even better, the latest lease deals are now live on Tesla's site, so if you're not ready to buy, you've got options. Five trims are up for grabs, each with tempting monthly payments and reasonable upfront costs.
Tesla's Lease Deals for July
Tesla's July Tesla Model Y lease offers are available through the company's online configurator in participating US states, subject to lease approval and credit qualification. The offers shown below are based on the longest advertised lease term of 36 months with an annual mileage allowance of 10,000 miles.
Shoppers can also select shorter lease terms, subject to availability. Each advertised offer includes a $3,000 down payment, the first month's payment, and a $695 acquisition fee due at signing, while taxes and registration fees are calculated separately.

Tesla also continues to offer a $500 purchase incentive for eligible Military personnel, First Responders, Healthcare workers, Teachers, and Students through its American Heroes program.
Of note, Tesla's has already shown off the new six-seat Model Y L, a stretched three-row version. But if you want to lease one, you'll have to wait – it's not on the menu yet. For now, your choices are limited to the five standard Model Y trims.
2026 Tesla Model Y Highlights
Lease deals aside, the 2026 Model Y gets some real upgrades. Up front, you'll spot slimmer headlights and a full-width light bar, with matching lights out back. Inside, there's better cabin materials, more sound insulation, a new dash, and optional ventilated front seats. Higher trims even get an 8-inch touchscreen for rear passengers, while the new base model swaps out traditional climate controls to keep costs down.
The new entry-level Rear-Wheel Drive Model Y still manages an EPA-estimated 321 miles of range, even with a smaller battery. If you want to go farther, the Premium Rear-Wheel Drive bumps that up to 357 miles. Dual-motor AWD versions pack about 375 horsepower, while the Performance model cranks out 460 hp and claims a 0-60 time of just 3.3 seconds.
Every Model Y gets the big 15.4-inch touchscreen, over-the-air updates, advanced driver assists, and Supercharger access. Need more seats? The Premium AWD can be optioned with a third row.
Final Thoughts
The updated Model Y is still a top pick among electric SUVs, thanks to its solid range, quick acceleration, everyday usability, and Tesla's massive charging network. Sure, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Mustang Mach-E, and VW ID.4 are all worthy rivals, but Tesla keeps its edge with slick software, easy charging, and plenty of trims to choose from.
