OpenAI under investigation by coalition of state attorneys general, WSJ reports

A coalition of U.S. state attorneys general has opened an investigation into OpenAI, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The AI company was served on Friday with a sweeping subpoena seeking documents related to a broad range of its activities and its impact on users, the report said.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report. OpenAI did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.
