The Popular Toyota Tacoma Has Affordable Lease Offers This May

The 2026 Toyota Tacoma in a Nutshell

Ford may rule the roost in full-size pickup sales, but it's Toyota that's been dominating the midsize sector for decades. The Japanese company has been doing so with the Tacoma, and the gap between it and the Chevrolet Colorado isn't even close. With its well-earned reputation for reliability, it's easy to understand why the Tacoma has practically become the default choice in its class.

We're now at the fourth-generation model, and that was introduced in 2023 for the 2024 model year. In terms of design and engineering, it represented a significant leap over its predecessor and continued to build on the strengths established by its past iterations. For 2026, there's not much to report in terms of changes, aside from a few trim and equipment adjustments.

2026 Toyota Tacoma Lease Deals for May

This May, Toyota is offering two special lease deals for the Tacoma. These are for the SR5 4WD and TRD Off-Road models, and both carry due-at-signing prices of $4,999. Sadly, the zero-down offers from last month are no longer available. With that, the less expensive SR5 4WD can be leased this month for just $279 for 36 months.

For those who'd like the TRD Off-Road model, the monthly payment is $369 for 36 months. There are also offers for the 2025 Tacoma if you don't mind it being last year's model. Those can be leased for as little as $229 per month for the SR5 4WD or $309 per month for the TRD Off-Road. Mileage is capped at 10,000 per year, and it's $0.15 per mile for any mileage over that limit. These offers are valid until June 1, 2026.

2026 Toyota Tacoma Highlights

The 2026 Toyota Tacoma is available in 11 trims, two body styles, and three bed lengths. Prices range from $32,445 to $64,650, so there is a slight increase. Six of the Tacoma's trims are pure ICE, while the rest are hybrid. The gas-powered trims are SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, and Limited. Moving to the electrified Tacomas, it's the TRD Sport i-Force Max, TRD Off-Road i-Force Max, Limited i-Force Max, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro.

Changes for the 2026 model year are as subtle as they get. TRD Off-Road, TRD Sport, and TRD PreRunner get black logos on their respective grilles, while Heritage Blue and Wave Maker have been added to the TRD Pro's color options. SR XtraCab models also get a tow hitch standard, while the Limited and Limited i-Force Max now include Adaptive Variable Suspension. All Tacomas come standard with integrated storage boxes, digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and of course, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 advanced driver assists.

The standard engine is the now-familiar 2.4-liter turbo used in many Toyota and Lexus models these days. That engine makes 278 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, except for the base SR, which is detuned to 228 hp and 248 lb-ft. For the i-Force Max hybrids, it pairs that same 2.4-liter turbo to a single motor, giving it a combined output of 326 hp and 465 lb-ft.

With a wide variety of trims and configurations, there's practically one for every need and budget. Couple that with this month's tempting lease deals, and a visit to your nearest Toyota dealer for a test drive is in order.
