  • A $2 million Mega Millions prize from an August drawing remains unclaimed.
  • Mega Millions jackpot grows to $474 million ahead of September 26 drawing.

Mississippi’s own Match 5 draw game has a big winner and the lucky ticket was sold in South Mississippi.

An unidentified player won $460,000 Wednesday on a ticket purchased at Keith’s Superstore at 19000 28th St. in Long Beach. Mississippi Lottery said the winning ticket matched all five numbers — 6-10-27-33-35.

The estimated cash value is $219.4 million.

Mississippi Match 5 is a $2 draw game played only in Mississippi with drawings held every night.

This comes after a player won $2 million on a Mega Millions ticket purchased at Pilot Travel Center in Moss Point for the Aug. 26 drawing.

That was one of the largest prizes won since the national draw games were legalized in Mississippi in 2020 — and the winner hasn’t yet claimed the prize, Mississippi Lottery said.

Two tickets sold in Texas and Missouri won the $1.8 billion dollar Powerball jackpot on Sept. 6.

Now Mega Millions is getting a lot of play as the drawing for Friday, Sept. 26, is estimated at $474 million and an estimated cash value of $219.4 million.
