Longtime Edgewater Mall store closing doors for good, going-away sale underway
It’s been 14 years since Bella Rose Boutique opened at Edgewater Mall, and the store and the retail industry have seen a lot of changes since 2011.
Hems went up and down, pants were worn wide and narrow and now the biggest change is on the way.
Owners Lee and Haley Ruiz have decided to close the mall location in Biloxi and concentrate on their store in Ocean Springs and their website.
It’s time to simplify their lives, Hailey said.
“It’s with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of our Edgewater Mall location,” they posted Monday on Facebook. “For the past 14 years, this space has been the home and heart of Bella Rose. Where it all began.”
The women’s boutique has a prime location near JC Penney and Victoria’s Secret and is known for offering affordable apparel, jewelry, shoes and accessories.
They previously operated a location on Cowan Road in Gulfport.
“While this chapter is coming to a close, we’re leaving Edgewater Mall with full hearts and deep gratitude for the community that has stood by us every step of the way,” the said. “It’s simply time to simplify, to focus on one location, and to enjoy more moments with family.”
Haley says a going-away sale has begun, and will continue until the shop closes in a few days.
The Ocean Springs store at 904 Washington Ave. at DeSoto Street continues to operate and new styles are coming in.
“Nothing changes for our Downtown OS location, website, or app,” she said, and shipping for online orders is currently free.
