This MS Coast home is one of the most popular short term rentals on Airbnb
A popular vacation rental app recently recognized a slice of paradise located on the MS Coast.
The Ocean Springs House is one of the most desired stays on Airbnb, which has over 8 million active listings.
“This spectacular 1,400 square foot waterfront listing is one of the top 5% of all homes on Airbnb, globally, and it’s catching the attention of travelers looking for the perfect getaway,” said Lisa Cohen, a spokesperson for Airbnb.
The ranking is based on “ratings, reviews and reliability,” according to the app. With 44 reviews, the Ocean Springs House has a 5.0 rating.
“There are gorgeous views from every window,” said Pamela, a New Orleans resident who left a review. “We loved kayaking and playing on the private beach, then finishing the day with the hot tub and fire pit. This is such a special place.”
The oceanfront property accommodates eight guests, plus a dog or two. According to its listing, the Ocean Springs house features a hot tub, chef’s kitchen, firepit and the occasional glimpse of a dolphin or crane.
The scenic getaway currently rents for around $400 per night with a three-night minimum. But, has a few overnight stays available for more than $500 each.

The majority of Mississippi’s 2,000 short term rental listings are located on the MS Coast. A top 10 list of short term rental locations compiled by Rabbu.com included five coastal cities.

According to Airbtics.com, Gulfport holds the largest piece of that pie, with more than 700 listings in a constantly fluctuating market (another source placed the number of active house listings at 349 in January 2025).
