Buc-ee’s holding mass hiring event to fill hundreds of South MS jobs. Here are the details

More than 200 people will work at the new Buc-ee’s travel center when it opens in Harrison County and the date has been announced for the job fair.

The company said the grand opening of Buc-ee’s is planned for June.

The mass hiring event is Wednesday through Friday, April 2-4 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, 2350 Beach Blvd. in Biloxi. The job fair will be open from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. all three days.

The company is hiring cashiers, deli and food service workers, grocery and gift staff, plus janitorial, cleaning and maintenance. These full time positions pay between $18 and $24 per hour, and staff is paid weekly.

Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, plus 401 (k) 100% match up to 6%. Employees get three weeks of paid time off that they can use, cash it in or roll it over to the next year.

Those who want to apply for a job can do it online at buc-ee’s.com. The company encourages job seekers to apply online, but said walk-ins are welcome at the job fair.

Applications also are being taken through job sites like Indeed and Zip Recruiter under the location of Pass Christian.

Jobs for managers were posted months ago.

The sign is up along I-10 in Harrison County near the Buc-ee’s travel center. The “opening soon” portion of the sign is temporary and will easily convert to “now open” or something similar when the work is complete. A job fair is scheduled for those who want to apply to work there.

Those who are hired to work at Buc-ee’s are required to follow the dress code and have no visible tattoos.

Employees must wear khaki pants and a clean, professional, solid red shirt with a collar, according to Buc-ee’s career page.. A red sweater or coat are allowed during colder weather.

Employees in most states must be 18 or older to work at Buc-ee’s. The company has a drug and alcohol testing policy and conducts criminal and employment history background checks.
