Outfitter expands into South Mississippi with outdoor and adventure clothing & gear

An outdoor outfitter store with locations in Florida and Alabama is expanding to open a fifth location at The Promenade in D’Iberville.

Coastal Outfitters will open soon, according to a sign on the building at 3887 Promenade Parkway, which is south of Target and east of Best Buy.

“We are so excited to announce that we are expanding into Mississippi! We will be located in The Promenade shopping center and we can’t wait to serve the D’Iberville community,” the company posted on social media.

Other locations are at Daphne, Tuscaloosa and Mobile, Alabama; and in Destin, Florida.

The stores feature performance clothing and accessories for men, women and children who enjoy fishing, boating and other outdoor activities and for those who want to wear stylish, brand name, casual clothing and shoes.

Coastal Outfitters sells quality brands like Fish Hippie, Columbia, Coastal Cotton and Birkenstock, and features Southern Tide fragrance, sunglasses and novelty T-shirts and hats that carry the outdoors theme.

Owner and founder Ryan Rasinen grew up having adventures along the Gulf Coast.

“After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in entrepreneurship and small company management, my wife and I moved back to our home on the Gulf Coast,” he said on the company website. “What began as a dream became a reality in November 2011 when Coastal Outfitters opened its doors on the Eastern Shore.”
