Starbucks is one of two more businesses coming to this hot Mississippi Coast location

Pascagoula has seen millions of dollars in new retail this year and still more is on the way.

Building permits were issued for a new Starbucks and a new Smoothie King in the same area where ALDI grocery and several other national stores just opened or are on the way.

A $1.2 million permit was issued for a Starbucks at 3905 Denny Ave., Pascagoula. It’s just west of the new ALDI and is being built for Fareway Pascagoula, Old Shell Road in Mobile.

A $105,000 permit is for a Smoothie King at 3801 Denny Ave., Pascagoula. The owner is SIG Gulf Coast, Florida Boulevard, Walker, Louisiana. It is in the same area, right off U.S. 90.

The closest locations of Starbucks and Smoothie King in South Mississippi are 16 miles away in Ocean Springs.
