New MS Coast clothing shop opens in time for Anderson Fest in downtown Ocean Springs

It took five weeks to transform the building from a sushi restaurant to a clothing store and get Golden Our Athleisure and Lifestyle ready for its debut just ahead of the Peter Anderson Festival.

Now the leisure and lifestyle store at 1019 Government St., right in the heart of Ocean Springs, is stocked and ready for the booming business the festival brings.

“It’s all comfortable, everyday wear,” said Brandin Brosh, as she looks around her store and its variety of clothing for men and women. She and her parents did the work to get the business open and create a wide-open space with a black ceiling and bright white walls that showcase the clothing displayed on racks and tables.

Among the top brands are Beyond Yoga, FP Movement and Thrive Societe for women and Burlebo, Onward Reserve, Ten Thousand, Beyond Yoga, Sunday Swagger and Duck Camp for men.

The name “Golden Our” is significant, Brosh says, combining the term used to describe that magical hour of soft lighting at sunrise or sunset with the active and sporty vibe of athletics.

“This brand name evokes a sense of relaxation, elegance, and a healthy, active lifestyle,” she said.

The versatile pieces are designed for comfort, function and fashion. Tops and bottoms come in bright blues, pink and oranges — the colors of sunset — and in soft neutrals, navy and blacks for pairing.

Brosh also own Charisma, a women’s boutique, in downtown Ocean Springs, and said she opened this second store to offer comfortable and stylish clothing for both men and women.

Golden Our is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily
