Most expensive homes on the MS Coast revealed: Here are the Top 3 for each county

The most expensive houses on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are, naturally, on or near water, but in Harrison County, they’re also concentrated on one street.

The street is Scenic Drive in Pass Christian. The Mississippi Sound provides the scenery to the south of Scenic Drive. But to the north, the waterfront vies for attention with the gorgeous mansions, historic cottages and Live oaks that grace the street.

The Sun Herald’s list of priciest homes on the Coast is not definitive. We gathered from the tax assessors in the three Mississippi Coast counties the single-family homes with the highest assessed values.

Assessed values determined through a mass appraisal process are used to set tax rates and are generally lower than appraised market values.

Four of the houses are owned by doctors, while others are owned by a real estate developer, founder of a Louisiana oil and gas exploration company and a trust in the name of a deceased owner of skilled nursing centers. Some of the houses are visible from the street and others are tucked behind locked gates.

Listed below are the Top 3 properties in each Coast county, their owners, locations and assessed values, from highest to lowest.
