Bed Bath & Beyond will close 150 stores across the US. What about D’Iberville?

Bed Bath and Beyond announced this week they would be closing 150 low-performing stores, which represents about 20% of their locations.

In a presentation to stockholders Wednesday, the company reported it had already started closing locations and reducing their workforce.

Sue Gove, Director & Interim Chief Executive Officer said, “We have taken a thorough look at our business, and today, we are announcing immediate actions aimed to increase customer engagement, drive traffic, and recapture market share.”

The Mississippi Coast loves its D’Iberville store at the Promenade on Promenade Pkwy.

“I could spend days in there,” said Nina Martinez in a Google review.

Stephen Kelly appreciates the quality of the store’s products. “I like to go here when I want the really good stuff. The crew are very helpful and knowledgeable.”

The brand sells everything from furniture to kitchen appliances, but it is best known for its plethora of 20% off coupons and gift registries.

There’s no word yet if the local branch will be part of future closings.

According to Footwearnews.com, Bed, Bath and Beyond has closed at least 37 locations in the U.S. across 19 states this year.
