Health dept. cites 5 Coast restaurants for critical violations, one for 3rd time this year

Four Coast restaurants and a grocery store deli were cited by the state health department for critical violations since the beginning of June.

The violations include:

During a corrective follow-up the same day, the restaurant got a B score when the food separated and protected issue was no longer present and the handwashing violation was corrected during the inspection.

A re-inspection of the restaurant on U.S. 49 was done a day later on June 9 and the restaurant scored an A for having no violations.

Church’s Chicken at 2321 Pass Road, Gulfport also was inspected multiple times this year.

On June 9 the restaurant was inspected for a permit follow-up and was given a C for having no certified manager.
