Popular pizza restaurant Uncle Joe’s is opening a 2nd location on the Coast

They’re known across the Mississippi Coast for their honey hot sauce. And after 15 years at their flagship location in Pass Christian, Uncle Joe’s Pizza & Wings is expanding.

Owner Susan Diamond is opening a second location of the popular pizza restaurant in the Depot District in Bay St. Louis.

She expects the new restaurant to open in late summer.

The original Uncle Joe’s opened on Kapalama Drive — which locals know as the back of Diamondhead even though the address is Pass Christian — in 2007 and soon became a local hit.

The family-friendly restaurant has a large menu of pizzas, wings, appetizers, po-boys and desserts.

Diamond said the same menu will be served at the new location in Depot District, although the vibe will be different. She will keep the industrial look of the space and plans on preserving the look and history of the building.

The exposed brick and original floors are staying, she said.

“I have been looking at the space for several years,” Diamond said. “The time was right when it came available.”

Diamond said she “loves Bay St. Louis” and the restaurants and downtown and hopes the new Uncle Joe’s location gives locals and tourists a kid-friendly option for lunch and dinner.

The most popular sellers at Uncle Joe’s include anything with honey hot sauce, Diamond said, including honey hot wings, honey hot fries, and their chicken bacon ranch pizza that is served with a honey hot drizzle.
