GasBuddy, an app that allows drivers to update prices of fuel at gas stations in real time, has the Gulfport truck stop’s regular unleaded listed for a cash price of $3.05 on Tuesday.
The price was uploaded by a user named lehais on Monday, according to GasBuddy. The same user listed the cash price for premium at $3.73 per gallon.
A fuel attendant at Flying J confirmed to the Sun Herald that the cash prices are incorrect on the GasBuddy app and the company has been working toward a fix.
Regular unleaded fuel at the travel center off the Canal Road Exit on Interstate 10 is going for $4.19 per gallon. It’s one of the most expensive places for gas on the Coast.
One of the other priciest gas stations in South Mississippi is the Love’s truck stop about 3 miles west on I-10. Fuel there was going for $3.97 on Monday.
