I Heart Mac & Cheese announces opening date for Gulfport restaurant, the first in MS
The first I Heart Mac & Cheese in Mississippi opens Feb. 23 on Pass Road in Gulfport.
The opening date for the restaurant, just west of DeBuys Road where Pinkston Music previously operated, was changed to this new date.
The first 10 people in line at 11 a.m. on opening day and who make a purchase will get a free mac and cheese for one year.
The specialties of the fast-casual restaurant are made-to-order macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches.
For those eating healthy or on special diets, health-conscious bases on the menu include quinoa, broccoli, cauliflower, gluten-free pasta, plant-based protein and dairy-free alternatives.
“It’s really exciting to open our first location in Mississippi and bring our beloved classic menu offerings to the Gulfport community,” said Steve Giordanella, chairman of I Heart Mac & Cheese. “Expanding the brand and watching people fall in love with this concept that celebrates the childhood classics always makes us very happy and proud.”
The Gulfport location also will feature favorites like chicken or meatball Parmesan, the Cuban and lobster and white truffle mac.
There will be weekly specials, and kids eat free on Wednesdays.
