More Mississippi Coast attractions are opening after coronavirus shutdown

Attractions are opening and the calendar of events for South Mississippi has listings again as Gov. Tate Reeves ordered that all businesses can reopen as of June 1.

Here are some of the attractions that are opening or returning soon in South Mississippi.

Big Play Entertainment Center in Biloxi has reopened its mini golf courses, bumper cars, go-carts, games and restaurants.

Finishline Performance Karting has reopened in Biloxi.

Banana’s Mini Golf on Pass Road in Gulfport is back in play.

Ferries to Ship Island resume June 5. Ship Island Excursions dolphin watching cruises are operating, with 90-minute rides on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Biloxi Schooners is offering walk-on trips.

Betsy Ann Riverboat in Biloxi is open for tours along the Coast.

The hotel and waterpark Centennial Plaza in Gulfport are open.

Escape arcade, the hotel and waterpark at Margaritaville Resort Biloxi are open.

Guests can swim with dolphins at Ocean Adventures Marine Park in Gulfport.

Gulf Islands Waterpark in Gulfport opens May 30.

Infinity Science Center in Hancock County will open June 1. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily.

Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum reopens June 1.

Beacon Theaters in Waveland is offering drive-in movie screenings and posts showings and times on their Facebook page.

Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum in Biloxi is open, with social distancing precautions and hand sanitizer stations. Hours are Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon-4 p.m.

Coastal Mississippi Mardi Gras Museum at 792 Howard Ave., Biloxi, is open. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. For the first month, all admission is $5 each. Occupancy limited to 5 guests at a time.

Beauvoir, The Jefferson Davis Home and Presidential Library in Biloxi, reopens June 1.

OWA amusement park in Foley, Alabama will reopen at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 5, with enhanced health and safety measures. Restaurants and stores at Downtown OWA also are open.

Events are starting again in South Mississippi, with Kingmaster fishing tournament through May 30 and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic June 1-7, at Golden Nugget Casino and Point Cadet, Biloxi.
