According to a report from Nerdist.com, it depends on which state you live in.
And in Mississippi, it’s a chocolate confection filled with nougat that is filling the most Halloween sacks.
Nerdist reports the 3 Musketeers bar is the state’s most popular Halloween item with more than 100,000 pounds expected to hit the streets on Oct. 31. In second place was Snickers, which was about 6,000 pounds less than the 3 Musketeers and Butterfinger coming in a distant third.
In Alabama, candy corn made a run at first place at more than 55,000 pounds and Lemonheads take the prize in Louisiana at almost 103,000 pounds.
USA Today reports 207 Halloween spending will hit a record-high $9.1 billion, which will surpass by 8.3% the previous all-time high of $8.4 billion spent on Halloween in 2016.
