Halloween is a time for costumes and candy and ghosts and ghouls. But, it also is a day to get some free items from area restaurants, if you’re willing to go the distance.

Here are some Halloween specials on the Coast, including how to get a free slice of candy corn pizza.

Chick-fil-A: Kids in costume get a free treat when you dine-in, on Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.

Chuck E Cheese: Try a free slice of Candy Corn pizza. And don’t worry, it contains neither candy nor corn. It’s a garlic, mozzarella and cheddar pizza in a candy corn shape. If you buy one, you get a free packet of candy corn. Free slices available 4-8 p.m.

IHOP: Create a scary face on your pancake for a chance to win free prizes. Just share your monster or goblin using #ScaryFacePancake and #Entry on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to enter.

Krispy Kreme: Get a free glow-in-the-dark bucket when you purchase a bucket of original glazed donut holes. The chain also has a variety of Halloween donuts including the Jack-o-Lantern, Spider Web or Mummy.

McAlister’s Deli: Free kid’s meal on Halloween for kids in costume with the purchase of an adult entree.

Morton’s The Steakhouse — Try a 3 course meal for $39 for their Halloween Special on Oct. 30-31. Choose between a 6 oz. filet mignon, honey balsamic glazed salmon or chicken bianco. Also, get drink and small plate specials all night in the Morton’s bar starting at 5 pm on Halloween.
