The Mississippi Credit Union Association held its annual meeting at the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi. Local MSCUA directors re-elected to a three-year term are Elmer Dickens, Gulf Coast Community Federal Credit Union in Gulfport) and retired Brig. Gen. Richard Moss, Keesler Federal Credit Union in Biloxi. Local MSCUA board officer is Chairman James Smith Jr., Singing River Federal Credit Union in Moss Point. Local Board members are Moss, Dickens and Kathy Scarbrough, Navigator Credit Union in Pascagoula.
Navigator Credit Union Board of Directors Emeritus Ron Elias was inducted into the Mississippi Credit Union Hall of Fame. Elias began his credit union service in 1983 as a volunteer on the Credit Committee, reviewing and approving loans for Ingalls Shipbuilding employees and served for 11 years. He was selected to serve on the board of directors in 1995. He twice served as board secretary and has been serving as board emeritus since 2015.
Firefighter Aaron Foos with the Diamondhead Fire Department graduated May 25 from the National Fire Protection Association 1001 Firefighter I-II course at the Mississippi State Fire Academy in Jackson. The course covered fire behavior, fire suppression, rescue, incident command and hazardous materials.

He has seven years of industry experience working on private and public sector projects as a civil and field engineer. He has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama and is a registered professional engineer in Mississippi and Alabama.
