A Biloxi man has been sentenced to three years in prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Dean Carlin Fender, 26, was sentenced in Gulfport after an investigation connected him to the death of an airman at Keesler Air Force Base in June 2021.
According to the press release, Fender was charged with providing counterfeit pills to Emmett Bennett, who then caused a traffic accident that killed one and injured three others.
Bennett was sentenced in December to 10 years in prison.
