Steven Carmack became preacher of Morris Road Church of Christ eight years ago.

"I'm no more spiritual than anyone here. I am just a brother that worships here," he said, adding that he and his wife, Wendy, value their faith and church family. "Preaching is the way I serve. I do not set myself apart from anyone amongst my brethren. Each man is to examine himself."

Morris Road Church of Christ began in the home of one of the charter members in 1963 and later moved to Cowan Road. In 1970, the church moved to its current location on Morris Road.

In the early 1990s the congregation built a sanctuary that holds about 50 people.

"No one has all knowledge, but I always try to answer questions Biblically, openly and honestly," Carmack said.

MRCOC does not have a nursery for babies during worship times.

"We encourage adults to bring all ages to every service," Carmack said. "There is a 'cry room' available but children are always a beautiful part of our worship."

Vital parts of worship at MRCOC every Sunday include congregational singing and partaking of the Lord's Supper.

The church offers classes for all ages on Wednesday evenings. On Tuesday there is a Bible study for women, but call for details on the study locations each week.
