First Baptist Church Vancleave will hold Revival 2016 starting Sunday and running through Wednesday.

The speaker for the event will be the Rev. Mack Morris, who is senior pastor for Woodridge Baptist Church in Mobile, which is one of the fastest-growing churches in Alabama.

First Baptist Church Vancleave senior pastor the Rev. Don Boone met Morris while attending the University of Mobile.

Morris was even a member of Boones' wedding party when he married his wife Janice.

Revival 2016 also will feature Joe and Kim Stanley as music evangelists. The Stanley's have been ministering through music for more than 25 years.

Joe is an ordained minister and Kim is involved in women's ministry.

Revival 2016 will kick off during the regular Sunday services and continue Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. each night.

First Baptist Church Vancleave began in 1902 and is now reaching people around the world.

The first pastor for the church was a medical doctor with the last name Boone just like the current, but the two are not related.

First Baptist Church Vancleave has started a new Baptist church in Ukraine and will send a group of adult missionary volunteers to Ukraine in July to aid the church. They also will focus on children with special needs and host a Vacation Bible School.

First Baptist Church Vancleave's youth group is seeking new members. The church youth will attend "Super Summer" in South Carolina this July and "Global Student Camp" in June on the campus of Mississippi College.

Children's camp for grades 1-6 also will be in July. The church offers Life Groups for all ages and has a thriving senior adult ministry.
