Taco Bell Testing Out a New Chili Cheese Menu at Limited Locations – And Fans Say 'It Needs a Permanent Spot' Nationwide
Taco Bell is always finding new ways to entice diners to nationwide locations, be it through a brand-new lineup of exciting menu items or a budget-friendly deal.
According to several new posts across social media, the iconic fast food giant is currently testing out what might very well be its most exciting menu expansion yet.
As per the posts, Taco Bell is working on a new chili cheese menu that brings the flavorful joys of cheese and chili to classic Taco Bell fare.
At the center of the experimental menu is the fan-favorite Chili Cheese Burrito, a highly sought-after burrito originally introduced in the '90s, but that recently made its return to Taco Bell for its limited-edition Y2K Menu.
In addition to the Chili Cheese Burrito, Taco Bell's new test menu also includes the Mini Chili Cheese Bowl and Chili Cheese Nachos. With the former, guests can tuck in to a mixture of seasoned rice, chili, sour cream, melted cheddar and pico de gallo, all encased in a crispy taco shell bowl; meanwhile, the Chili Cheese Nachos delivers a healthy supply of tortilla chips piled high with chili, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, cheddar and pico de gallo.
As per various posts on Instagram, the new menu items are available only in select locations in Kentucky and Alabama for the time being. However, as in the past, if they perform well at these restaurants, there's a decent chance the items might make their nationwide debut in the weeks ahead.
What's more, the new menu items are available for just $3, making it a fantastic bang for your buck for diners fortunate enough to be based in Alabama and Kentucky. And if the online reaction is any indication, fans will want to try these menu items sooner rather than later! As one fan so eloquently put it, "That Chili Cheese Burrito needs a permanent spot on [Taco Bell's] menu."
