A Bojangles fan-favorite is back on menus, though it won’t stick around.

The pork chop griller was available as of Wednesday, Aug. 20, for a limited time at participating Bojangles restaurants nationwide, a brand spokesperson told CharlotteFive.

A golden-brown sausage patty is shown sandwiched between a flaky biscuit on a white and yellow checkered paper. The biscuit and sausage are centered on the paper with a white background.

The seasonal breakfast sandwich features a seared pork chop on a “made from scratch” buttermilk biscuit, according to the Charlotte-based chicken chain. Customers can get it as a combo or a la carte item from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, according to the restaurant’s website. Pricing may vary by location.

The pork chop griller is the latest limited-time item to join Bojangles’ breakfast lineup, appearing alongside favorites like the Cajun filet and sausage Bo’Berry biscuit.

In June, the chain launched its first-ever breakfast “Bo-Rito” made with sausage, eggs, crispy Bo-Rounds, Monterey Jack cheese and Southern-style sausage gravy, all in a flour tortilla.

“It’s a full-size breakfast, all wrapped up in a legit tortilla,” Marshall Scarborough, vice president of menu and culinary innovation for Bojangles, said at the time.

A Bojangles’ Bo-Rito is sliced in half to show the inside ingredients, which include a sausage patty, a hash brown, egg, and melted cheese, wrapped in a tortilla. The two halves of the burrito are wrapped in foil with the Bojangles’ logo printed on it, and are positioned side-by-side with a white background.

More recently, Bojangles announced plans to bring its famous chicken and biscuits to the New York City area, The Charlotte Observer reported. Its first location is slated to open in Brooklyn this winter, with plans to add 35 stores in New Jersey, as well.

“It’s a monumental moment, now that we’re entering the New York metropolitan area again,” Bojangles CEO Jose Armario said. “We couldn’t be more excited to see what this next chapter holds.”
