What’s weirder than deep-fried bubblegum? According to the folks at Farm Flavors, Mississippi’s very own Krispy Kreme burger, for one.

The infamous sweet-and-savory concoction made Farm Flavor’s top 10 weirdest fair foods, ranking higher than Texas’ fried bubblegum and Oklahoma’s deep-fried coffee.

Bacon, beef and cheese are sandwiched between two glazed Krispy Kreme donuts to make the Mississippi State Fair staple.

The burger ranked fifth on this year’s list and has been a state fair offering for more than a decade.

“People say they’re a hit with the sweet and savory crowd, with a beef burger tucked between two glazed donuts,” according to Kayla Walden at Farm Flavor.

Topping this year’s list was Arizona’s deep-fried scorpion. You can try them plain or dipped in chocolate.

Kansas’ pickle pops. The treats can be eaten thawed or frozen. The frozen ones have the advantage of a chocolate-dipped option. Utah’s fried Jello and Alaska’s reindeer hot dogs were also ranked above the Mississippi burger.

Here’s the rest of the list.
