Pass Christian woman’s recipe could get her $10,000. It’s all thanks to eggs.

A Pass Christian woman could win up to $10,000 for her shrimp pasta recipe, all thanks to eggs.

Barbara Crusan is the Mississippi finalist for the Eggland's Best 2018 America's Best Recipe contest, according Dave Holdsworth, vice president of marketing and spokesperson for Eggland's Best. Crusan submitted a recipe for Gulf Coast Shrimp Pasta Pizzazz.

People across the country were encouraged to submit their locally inspired recipes for a chance to be named the best recipe in America, according to Eggland's Best. The only stipulation to the contest was the recipe had to include Eggland's Best eggs.

State winners were announced Tuesday, and now the semi-finalists will face off to be voted the best in the Southeast region.

Voters can cast their vote once per day until July 31, according to the contest website.

The grand prize winner will receive $10,000 and a year's supply of Eggland's Best eggs.

The four regional winners will receive $1,000 and a year's supply of eggs.
