Brats and beer will meet Bach for this year’s Bachtoberfest supporting the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra.
Don’t expect any well-tempered claviers, though. A seasonally appropriate oompah band will put festivalgoers in the mood at the event on Oct. 15 on the Biloxi Town Green.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., music, dancing, games and children’s activities will join brats and beer. Brats, with or without kraut, wil be $5 each, and a pint of beer will be $5. An all-you-can-drink craft beer tasting is $10.
The event helps fund the Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra’s four Subscription Series concerts and two concerts presented to Mississippi Gulf Coast students, as well as two free annual Sounds by the Sea concerts for Memorial Day in Gulfport and Pascagoula. All money raised at Bachtoberfest will go to support the orchestra and the Gulfport Symphony Youth Orchestra, the GCSO said.
