Miss Congress Pageant will be June 4

Seven young women will vie for the Miss Congress Crown on June 4 at the "Embracing Your Worth," Miss Congress Pageant sponsored by Gulf Coast Sunday School and BTU Congress.

Contestants are judged on four categories totaling 100 points -- personality 35 points; talent 25 point; dress attire 20 points; and evening attire 20 points.

The Pageant will be 5 p.m. June 4 at the Good Deeds Community Center, 15101 Madison St., Gulfport. Tickets, available at the door, are $5 per person.

Kiera Taylor

Kiera Taylor, daughter of Kenneth Taylor Sr. and Tameka Holloway, attends Forrest Heights Missionary Baptist Church, Gulfport, where the Rev. George D. Rouse is pastor. Kiera is a student at Harrison Central High School and is being escorted by Keon Barney.

Zaria Simon
