'Biloxi Blues' coming to Gulfport Little Theatre

'Katrina Fatigue' art exhibit will run through Nov. 8
The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center, 1600 Government St., Ocean Springs, will showcase "Katrina Fatigue" through November 8. The exhibition includes installations, bedscapes, original paintings, drawings, photos, hand-painted furniture, locally authored books and more. MGCCC invites entries for Alumni Art Show Oct. 24
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is calling for entries into the annual Alumni Art Show, which will be on exhibition on Homecoming Day, Oct. 24, in the Perkinston Campus' Visual Arts Center. The deadline for submission of art is noon on Friday .
The annual show is a showcase of artwork by MGCCC alumni and usually includes two-and three-dimensional pieces like pottery, baskets, ceramics, quilts, sculpture, drawings, paintings, photographs and mixed media.
Free children's art activities will be included in the Malone Hall, room 104.

'Daddy's Dyin..Who's Got the Will?' opens Thursday

MGCCC campus celebrates 50 Years of Art exhibit
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College's Jackson County Campus is celebrating 50 Years of Art with an exhibit in the library. The exhibit will run through Dec. 11.
The exhibit consists of 59 pieces of art created by current and former employees and students. Part of the 50-year anniversary celebration for the college's Coast campuses, the exhibit includes 38 drawings and paintings, three blow glass/sand-etched pieces, 16 ceramic pieces, a steampunk floor lamp and a wooden table. Materials for the art include oil, acrylic, spray paint, watercolor, ceramics, cut-paper and wood and metal.
