Rob Gronkowski Reveals His Favorite NFL Season and Why It Stands Out

Rob Gronkowski accomplished just about everything an NFL player could hope to achieve during his 11-year career. The future Hall of Fame tight end won four Super Bowls, earned five Pro Bowl selections, and became one of the most dominant players at his position in NFL history.

So when Men's Journal recently sat down with Gronkowski to discuss his partnership with functional wellness brand Ryde:, we had to ask a difficult question:

Which season stands above all the rest?

For Gronkowski, the answer came immediately.

"That first Super Bowl season was probably my favorite," he told Men's Journal.

The reason wasn't just the championship trophy. According to Gronkowski, the entire experience felt different from anything that followed.

"Everything was electric," he recalled, "We were all so young and it was just the best feeling - we had so much fun."

Why That Team Was So Special

Gronkowski said the energy surrounding the team that season was unlike anything he'd experienced before. The roster was young, hungry, and fully committed to a common goal.

"We were all in great shape and putting everything we had onto the field," he said.

While fans often remember championships for the games themselves, Gronkowski's favorite memories come from everything that happened behind the scenes, from the comraderie to the practices.

The Camaraderie Still Stands Out

More than a decade later, Gronkowski said what he remembers most is the bond that developed inside the locker room.

"The camaraderie and the sense of accomplishment at the end of it all was next level," he said.

It's a common theme among championship teams. The wins matter, but so do the relationships built while chasing them. For Gronkowski, that season represented the perfect combination of both.

Over the course of his career, Gronkowski would add more championships, more records, and more unforgettable moments, and for him, that Patriots season wasn't simply the beginning of a dynasty. It was the year everything came together.

And years later, it remains his favorite chapter of an extraordinary NFL career.
