Franklin, the Bernese Mountain Dog, is a 1-year-old pup who tends to cause a bit of chaos wherever he goes, mostly because of his size. At the top of his mom's complaints is the absolute mess he makes on the kitchen floor every time he gets a drink of water. She even shows the issue in a recent TikTok video, and we don't blame her for looking for a better solution.

Simple Life - Daniela Mlčúchová

At the beginning of the video, Mom shows Franklin, the Bernese Mountain Dog, drinking from a standard-sized water bowl-and it's immediately clear there's a problem. He gulps down the water like he's been stranded on a deserted island, while his poor mom is left mopping the floor with a bath towel afterward.

She then introduces his new drinking fountain, and honestly, it looks like a game-changer right from the start. Mom explains that she looked for a solution due to "Franklin drinking water like a literal toddler" and decided on the Cheerble Elfin D1 Pro pumpless water fountain.

As she unboxes the new unit, it's clear she's excited about not having to mop her entire floor every day. The unit is pumpless and holds 4 liters of water, which obviously means fewer refills, especially with Franklin's enormous water consumption!

How Does the Water Fountain Work?

According to their website, the Cheerble Elfin D1 Pro is a pumpless water fountain that uses magnetic technology in the base to keep the water moving. There is no submerged pump, which reduces overall machine noise. The stainless steel tray allows just enough water to float on the surface without creating a huge puddle for a pup like Franklin to soak his whole beard in.

The Elfin D1 Pro is fully washable once you remove the pieces from the electronic base, making cleaning a breeze. Mom even demonstrates the cleaning process in her video and notes that she likes how the entire tank detaches from the base unit. Overall, both Mom and Franklin are happy with their new drinking fountain!
