Spencer Pratt, Wife Heidi Montag Fell in Love at First Sight After Meeting at Nightclub

Spencer Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, have long been part of the reality TV subculture in Los Angeles. In fact, she was starring on the popular show, The Hills, when they met. Today, she is a mom of two and a singer.

The pair once enjoyed a blended name, which is usually reserved for stars like Bennifer and Brangelina. They were known as "Speidi." According to People, Pratt and Montag defied naysayers by building a lasting marriage; they were married in 2009 and have two kids together.

"When we started, it felt like everyone was trying to break us up, or they thought we were together to be famous," Pratt told People in 2019. "But here we are, 10 years later. The [best] thing we ever did is be together."

In an interview with Vice, Montag made it clear that she knew Pratt was the one right away. They met at a nightclub. That article described the two by saying, "They love blonde hair, The Bachelor, and the Pacific Coast Highway." The article also described Pratt's love for crystals.

Both Montag and Pratt gushed about each other during that interview. "I love Heidi because she's the most special angel I have ever come across," he told Vice in that 2016 interview. "Heidi is like the sunset."

They lived for a time in Costa Rica and then at his dad's beachfront home, Vice reported then (Pratt, who is now running for Los Angeles mayor, has made the couple's Pacific Palisades home burning down a central focus of his efforts.)

For her part, Montag described their first meeting by saying, "I was like cartoon goo-goo eyes, heart falling out of my head." She told Vice of their 2006 meeting, "I pretty much told everyone I was going to marry him and that I loved him."

Spencer Pratt's Wife Heidi Montag Has a Massive Social Media Following

Today, Montag is a social media influencer. She has more than 1.1 million followers on Instagram. Many of her photos show her posing for glamour shots throughout California.

She is now releasing singles, and her Linktree contains links to her Spotify and other pages. Heidi and Spencer have hosted a podcast called The Fame Game.

According to ET Online, they have sons named Ryker and Gunner. Montag opened up about taking a year to get pregnant, telling ET Online, "I think it's important to be able to share what you're going through. I've had even friends reach out to go, 'I've felt so alone in this journey.' Because it can be a really lonely place to be. You feel like you're doing something wrong or you want something so badly. It felt good to be able to share that in such a raw way, to tell people you're not alone. And there is hope."

Montag shared on The Squeezethat her real dream is to become a pop star, and she had an iTunes hit.

"When I was younger, I always wanted to be a pop star. Like, I would listen to Madonna when I was eight years old and my headphones walking around, Mariah Carey, and I would love to sing," she said.

Of her relationship with Pratt, she said, "We never really looked to the public for any validation. It was more of the opposite. I'm kind of a rebel. Spencer's kind of a rebel. We both have that streak in us a little bit…it is hard and it's about even if you disagree or whatever, communicating and coming together and figuring out how do we move forward and having the hard conversations."

"And my mom put me in voice lessons when I was like seven or eight and was always so supportive of my dreams. But I wanted to be in Hollywood," she added in that interview. "I wanted to be famous. I wanted to be successful. And my mom would drive me to acting classes like three hours each way in Aspen because we didn't live near Aspen, but that's where they were…I always felt destined for Hollywood."
