Why Cats Get the Zoomies
Zenitsu is having the time of his life running around with all that energy, and we love to see it, too. But have you ever wondered why cats get the zoomies? Experts say it all comes down to energy.
According to PetMD, when a cat has the zoomies, which is more technically called frenetic random activity periods (FRAPs), it's typically their way of releasing pent-up energy. They explain that after sitting or sleeping too long, which they do, they have a load of energy they need to run out. And doing that via zoomies is pretty efficient. One expert they spoke to said that it's also thought to release endorphins, which gives them all the happy vibes.
The site explains that in most cases, you don't have to do anything about the zoomies, except to take a video and maybe share it with the world, since it's a natural, healthy thing for them to do.
So, there you go, Zenitsu, run your heart out!
