Cockatoo 'Spills the Tea' to Mom and People Are Dying To Know What She's Saying
Chatty Cockatoos are among the best sources of entertainment to ever exist. Though I've never had the pleasure of caring for a vocal bird, I live for internet videos that highlight how smart, funny, and theatrical these silly birds can be, especially when they "go off" on adorable rant sessions.
When Sweet Pea, the Cockatoo, needs to get something off her feathery chest, everyone should listen up. She's got all the tea and has no issue telling all the secrets. Take a listen and guess what this funny girl is saying.

Some of Sweet Pea's 1.1 million fans had different reactions to her little rant, with most hearing different things. After listening a few times, I definitely heard "I swear to God" at one point, but the rest is a mystery.
The talkative Cockatoo not only spilled all, but the walking away at the end is such a toddler-coded move and a little too on the nose for these funny Parrots. She's dramatic and pretty and one of TikTok's most beloved rescue birds for moments just like this and 100000% worth the hype... even if she'll blab all your secrets!

Sweet Pea is one of my favorite rescue birds for a lot of reasons, but mostly because she's sweet and sour all in one. She's out there barking at the repairman one day and ranting to Mom the next. But her brutal honesty always makes me laugh, like in this clip:

Why Cockatoos Go on 'Rants'
It's been said a million times before, but Cockatoos are extremely smart with an intelligence level comparable to human toddlers. With the capacity for learning and mimicking a lot of words, phrases, and sounds, Cockatoos like Sweet Pea go on "rants" to communicate, express emotions, or because these highly social birds want attention.
Sweet Pea is (as her name describes) very sweet with her "tea-spilling rants," but other vocal Parrot species likeAfrican Grey Parrots, Macaws, or other types of Cockatoos might scream, sing, chatter rapidly, or do other dramatic, attention-seeking things (also like a toddler) until they get what they want.
These interactions can also happen if they're bored and they know it'll get them the interaction they're after. Honestly, if other chatty birds are as gentle and precious as Sweet Pea with their "rants," let them. You never know what these little entertainers will say next!
