  • One downtown Ocean Springs restaurant closed as several others opened nearby.
  • Quickly 2’s ~4,600 sq ft space is for lease; kitchen equipment included.
  • Coast dining scene is shifting with several recent closures and reopenings.

The bright green building at 1314 Government St. is for lease after Quickly 2 Seafood & Boba Tea closed recently along the busy downtown corridor.

The ribbon cutting for the location that previously was home to Craft Advisory brewing was in February 2024. The spacious, bright green restaurant sat amid barbecue, breakfast and other eateries in the city’s entertainment district. Several more restaurants opened in the same area since then and more are on the way.

The original Quickly specializes in boba tea also known as bubble tea, at it’s D’Iberville restaurant off Sangani Boulevard.

The idea for this second restaurant in Ocean Springs was to feature lots of seafood, since the city is near the beach. Quickly 2 became known for all-you-can-eat crawfish boils, Cajun shrimp and Korean fried chicken.

Now the building sits empty, with the restaurant sign down and a “for lease” banner up to find a new tenant.

In addition to the 4,600-square-foot dining room and kitchen is an outdoor patio with power and covered seating and windows for drive-up and walk-up service. The kitchen equipment is included in the lease.

Some of the suggested uses are for a frozen drink bar, a pizza restaurant, beer garden or fast casual restaurant.

Ocean Springs has more than 100 restaurants and like other areas of South Mississippi continues to see more opening almost every week. Over the past several months, the Coast is also seeing more restaurants close for a variety of reasons.
