New donut shop goes South MS viral with clapback to scathing social media review

Most restaurants use their reader boards to advertise new menu items. This week, Parlor Doughnuts has used its to apologize to a dissatisfied customer.

The roadside board reading “Sorry Ronny” was put up following a critical review of Parlor Doughnuts posted by Ronny Graham on Ocean Springs Talk of the Town, a local Facebook group. Graham’s post was the result of a miscommunication about an order from the shop.

“He called the store multiple times, very angrily trying to cuss at us and give us a very bad experience for his bad experience,” said Nathan Smith, a manager at Parlor Doughnuts.

Within hours of being posted, the review garnered hundreds of reactions from community members who laughed at and liked the post.

The popularity of the Facebook post ultimately led to the “Sorry Ronny” sign being posted, providing a public apology to Graham for the experience.

“We decided to just post it on the board so that maybe if he drove by, he could see our apology,” Smith said. “I think overall, the response has been very positive; a lot of people thought it was good fun.”
