Roast beef. Shrimp. Ham and cheese. Which iconic Pirate’s Cove po-boy is your favorite?
The future of Pirate’s Cove remains uncertain, but the Coast’s love for the beloved sandwich and po-boy shop will forever remain.
The owners have put the business up for sale for $2.4 million, the real estate listing shows.
The price comes with the namesake, so the new owners can choose whether to keep Pirate’s Cove running or close it and try something else.
Pirate’s Cove is known for the sandwiches that can be served on po-boy bread or a bun. At one point, they sold more glass bottle Barq’s root beer than any other business on the Coast except Sam’s Club.
The beloved Pass Christian restaurant is frequented by “Good Morning America” host and Pass native Robin Roberts. Comedian and actress Tig Notaro also had Pirate’s Cove food at her Coast wedding.
Notaro is a big fan of the shrimp po-boy, but we want to hear from you, Mississippi Gulf Coast.
To honor Pirate’s Cove, vote now for your favorite po-boy and side item at the restaurant. This is not a scientific poll, and you can vote as many times as you’d like.
The Sun Herald will share the results of the poll next week, so be on the lookout.
