Country star set to perform in Biloxi this month tweeted from Vegas mass shooting
Country music singer-songwriter Jake Owen, scheduled to perform in Biloxi this month, was the opening act for Jason Aldean at the Las Vegas concert that turned into a massacre Sunday night.
At least 50 people were killed and more than 400 were injured in the largest mass shooting in U.S. history after a gunman opened fire onto the concert from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Casino Resort.
Owen tweeted during and after the gunfire.
Owen expressed shock, asked for prayers and thanked first-responders for their efforts. And he told Pearl he loves her. Pearl is his daughter, almost 5 years old, according to CMT News.
Owen will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at Harrah’s Gulf Coast Casino’s Great Lawn. Tickets for the waterfront concert are $25 each.
His latest hit songs include “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Beachin,’” “The One That got Away” and “Alone With You,” according to Billboard.
