Cruisin’ The Coast is in full swing. Here are 10 interesting cars we saw this week
Cruisin’ The Coast, which is Mississippi’s largest event, is in full swing on the Mississippi Coast this week, drawing crowds of car enthusiasts from all over.
Thousands of vehicles of all different shapes, sizes and colors have been brought into the area for the festivities. One of the few guidelines is that all of the registered vehicles have to be dated from 1989 or older, but other than that registrants are not limited to one type of vehicle, leading to an assortment of wild, unique cars.
Among the cars we saw were rat rods — which are cars deliberately made to look worn or unfinished, often decorated with kitschy knickknacks and plastic rats — custom cars, cars with fun paint jobs, and cars with historical significance, among many, many others.
In 2023, just over 10,000 vehicles were registered for Cruisin’ The Coast and this year could see just as many as some owners register their vehicles as the week’s events go on.
Out of all the vehicles registered this year, here are just a few that stood out to us.
