Biloxi native is ‘Good As Hell’ after her company produces new Lizzo music video

Whew, child.

A former Biloxian Made Good who makes waves in the production scene in Los Angeles and Hollywood has done it again — this time, with Lizzo.

Angela Guice, a Biloxi native whose father is local public relations guru Reed Guice, owns NuContext, an award-winning television and commercial production company in Los Angeles.

Guice owns a home in Biloxi and often comes back to the Coast to work with her dad at their public relations agency, Guice and Guice, and spend time with family.

NuContext has worked with Hollywood stars and media heavyweights, including Spotify, Disney Channel, Oxygen and BET.

Occasionally, Guice’s company also produces music videos, like a re-make of Blink-182’s iconic “nude” video.

Guice and her company’s latest project brought her closer to home and gave her the opportunity to work with Lizzo, arguably one of the biggest stars of 2019.

NuContext produced Lizzo’s new music video for “Good As Hell” at Southern University in Baton Rouge, the largest historically black college university in Louisiana.

“We don’t produce music videos that often, but when we do, they are always good as hell! This video was next level for so many reasons - working with an artist like Lizzo was incredible,” Guice posted on Facebook.

Lizzo is nominated for multiple Grammy awards and was named Time’s 2019 Entertainer of the Year.
