‘Mississippi River Sharks’ of Ocean Springs set to invade Coast homes on Monday

Coast residents may want to stay out of the water Monday night as a particularly nasty group of sharks will invade the area.

“Mississippi River Sharks” will makes its debut at 7 p.m. on Monday on SyFy. The film was shot in Ocean Springs in February.

It stars brothers Jason and Jeremy London and Cassie Steele. It was directed by Misty Talley.

A synopsis of the film at IMDB.com says: “Sharks attack a fish rodeo on the Mississippi River, and it is up to a group of locals to stop them.

“Mississippi River Shark” is the second Syfy shark movie to be filmed on the Coast. “Shark Lake,” which starred Dolph Lundgren, was shot in Ocean Springs and other South Mississippi locations in 2015.
