East Central's Pilkington commits to MSU

East Central left-handed pitcher Konnor Pilkington has given his verbal commitment to Mississippi State, his father said Thursday.

Pilkington went 9-2 with a 1.01 ERA this season, leading East Central to the Class 5A South State finals.

Pilkington had been recruited by other schools, including Southern Miss.

Pilkington gave his verbal commitment to MSU head coach John Cohen and pitching coach Butch Thompson Wednesday night.
