Shuckers' Orlando Arcia honored as top 'Breakout Prospect'

Biloxi Shuckers shortstop Orlando Arcia was named "Breakout Prospect" of the Year by MiLB.com on Tuesday.

Rated the 12th-best prospect by MLB.com, Arcia was named the 2015 Brewers Minor League Player of the Year and was the recipient of the Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove Award for his play at shortstop.

"We are extremely proud of Orlando's success and development with the Biloxi Shuckers this year," Brewers General Manager David Stearns said in a press release. "Orlando had a terrific season and we look forward to his continued progression through the organization."

Arcia finished the season with the Shuckers batting .307 with 37 doubles, seven triples, eight homers, 69 RBI and 25 stolen bases in 129 games. The 21-year-old from Venezuela finished his campaign leading the Southern league in doubles.
