Resurrection thumps Mt. Olive on the road

Resurrection traveled to Mt. Olive Friday night and picked up a decisive 42-0 victory.

RCS senior quarterback Blake Porter threw for over 200 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Eagles on offense.

"We played a complete ball game," RCS coach Scott Sisson said. "That's our third shutout in the last four games. We're starting to get people healed up and we have a big one next week against Lumberton."

Porter's two touchdown passes were to Caden Hinman and Patrick Roth.

Jerry Johnson, Terrance Spivery and Norman Douglas all added touchdown runs for the Eagles.

RCS improved to 4-5 and 3-1 in Region 4-1A ahead of its important trip to Lumberton (6-2, 3-0) next week.
