HARRISON COUNTY -- Authorities have identified the woman killed in a head-on collision Monday morning.

Debra Dean, 53, of Pass Christian died in the crash, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said. She died of blunt force trauma, he said.

A Harrison County Sheriff's Office accident reconstruction team is trying to figure out what caused two vehicles to collide head-on on a straight section of Wolf River Road, a sheriff's official said.

That investigation will probably take about a week, said Maj. Tom Clifford of the sheriff's office.

Another driver, a male juvenile, was injured in the crash.

He said the juvenile was in surgery at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport but was expected to survive.

Harrison County Fire Chief Pat Sullivan said rescuers had to use the Jaws of Life to get the victims out of the wreckage.
