By the numbers
Criminal homicides in Harrison, Hancock and Jackson counties for 2015, by date, with information from law enforcement agencies and some court testimony:
n Raymond Howze III, 19, was shot Jan. 11 in a store parking lot on Old Pass Road in Gulfport. His alleged assailant, D'Juan Holloway, 23, then stole his car and fled to New Mexico.
n Eddie Briggs, 28, was shot multiple times Jan. 27 outside Emerald Pines apartments in Gulfport. Henry Earl Harvey, 21, is accused in his killing.
n Jamel Jones, 37, was shot Jan. 31 outside Amber Apartments in D'Iberville. Marquis Saunders, 23, is accused of killing him.
n Eric Jewess, 58, was shot March 6 in his Ocean Springs home, where his wife, Monda Jewess, 59, died of a self-inflected gunshot wound.
n Keon Bryant, 19, was shot March 24 in an alleged drug deal on George Street in Gulfport. Adam Antonio Fairley, 26, is accused of killing him.
n Bruce Robinson Jr., 20, was shot seven times, mostly in the back, April 3 on West Railroad Street in Pass Christian over an alleged go-cart sale. Alexander Joseph Dedeaux Jr., 19, is accused of killing him.
n Kenneth Fanning, 29, died April 11, after being stabbed at a child's birthday party in Hancock County. His brother-in-law Clinten Michael Dryer, 32, is accused of shooting him in an argument over a disabled vehicle.
n Anessia Daniels, 43, was shot through the walls of her Gulfport home on 34th Avenue on April 18 over an alleged drug deal involving her 25-year-old son. Charged in her killing are Karlos Onealius Oatis, 22; Catrelle Darnell Agee, 20; and John Patrick Minter, 25.
n Varnasia Frost, 28, was shot June 8 in a room at Motel 6 in Jackson County. Her companion, Myron Dewan Hall, 38, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
n Bobby Harris Sr., 53, was found shot multiple times July 12 in his apartment on 36th Street in Gulfport. No arrests have been made.
n Mark Anthony Fairley, 21, was shot July 15 in a gym parking lot on Eisenhower Drive in Biloxi after an alleged argument with his cousin Chris Fairley, 26.
n Millicent Sue Smith, 45, died in a crash July 29 in Jackson County after her son Marshall Smith, 24, allegedly fled police and lost control of the vehicle.
n Denise Fayard, 33, was shot Aug. 24 in a car on 30th Avenue in Gulfport. Her estranged husband, Percy Fayard Jr., 52, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
n Sonja Wells-Raine, 47, was shot Aug. 31 at the WIC Food Distribution Center in Pascagoula. Her estranged husband, Chester Raine, 52, later died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound fired at the food center.
n Darnell Bolton, 24, a soldier home from the Army on Sept. 6, was shot at a Moss Point car wash when he allegedly tried to break up a fight over a Facebook argument. Two others were wounded. Roderick Murray is accused in his killing.
n Amy Prentiss, 41, was shot in her Gautier home Sept. 14 before her boyfriend, Shannon Lamb, 39, a Delta State University instructor, drove to DSU and shot history professor Ethan Schmidt, 39. Lamb fatally shot himself near Greenville.
n Tena Broadus, 29, was cut with a knife or machete Sept. 18 at a Gulfport home on O'Neal Road and her remains were set on fire in nearby woods; her skeletal remains were found Oct. 7 in the Biloxi River. She allegedly was killed because she was believed to be a "snitch." Arrested on a murder charge: Joshua Anthony Peterman, 28, and Kari Michelle Parker, 34. Arrested on an accessory charge: Aaron Dale Bobinger, 30, Devin Deshawn Gregory, 18, and Natasha Sellers, 41.
n Jeremy Lowery, 32, was shot Sept. 29 outside his girlfriend's Biloxi home on Auguste Court, allegedly by his girlfriend's 16-year-old son, Biloxi High football player Trey Hunter.
n Julie Brightwell, 52, a Waffle House server in Biloxi, was shot in the head Nov. 27 after asking a customer to put out his cigarette. Johnny Max Mount, 45, was arrested on a murder charge.
n Jason Duffy, 42, was shot multiple times Nov. 29 in his Waveland home on Dicks Street. No arrests have been made.
