Other thoughts: Picking this week's SEC matchups

For entertainment purposes (at my expense): Missouri (-3, according to MGM Resorts International) at Vanderbilt. This might be the game where the 'Dores jump up and snag a SEC victory. Or not. Tigers by 10, with or without the suspended Maty Mauk ... Alabama is a big (-15) favorite against the Volunteers. Tennessee has had an extra week to prepare, but it won't matter. Tide continues to roll with a 18-point win ... A bit surprised Ole Miss is a 5 1/2-point favorite over Texas A&M after losing to Memphis. Field goal wins it for the Rebs in a shootout ... Mississippi State (-11) puts it on Kentucky, even though the Wildcats had a couple extra days to prepare. Bulldogs by 14 ... Can Auburn (+5 1/2) build on its Thursday night win at Kentucky? I say yes. Tigers top Arkansas by 10 ... Western Kentucky (+16 1/2) may be the best offensive team LSU has played this season. No matter. Is Leonard Fournette healthy? Does WKU have to use 11 men on defense? No trickery needed -- Bayou Bengals thump an entertaining WKU squad by 18.
